Day 2 - A Great Day in Atlanta, GA!
As they always say, every day is a new day at a dog show. I am pleased to say that today was our day!

Day 1 - Atlanta, GA
So what does Rush always get? Yes, RWD on a major AGAIN. My friend, Laura, won RWB with her little girl, Jill.
So we decided it was time to go shopping and then visit our favorite little, Mexican place.
We found our spirits quickly improving as the night went on.
That meal was excellent and so was the company.
Back at the room, sweet little Rush-Aroo killed his Sweeps prize.

It's Show Time Again
Grind, Scrub, Fluff, Puff. I am off to Atlanta this weekend with my friends, Janet and Laura. I am hoping that I can break this RWD streak for Rush. I don't want him to become the King of Reserves. We already have plans to go to our favorite little Mexican place on Saturday night. We will miss you Jeri!
I am doing my grooming just a little prematurely because tomorrow night is the final night of Rush's obedience classes and there won't be any time left after that. I have been working on trying to help him grow a brain. He is signed up for his first cycle of agility in the fall. I won't have him jump though and will lay the bars on the ground when training. I don't think he will be the fastest dog in agility, but what I am hoping for is dependability and consistency.

Due to Budget Cuts . . . .
This Is Your New Cube.
A friend of mine sent me these pictures. I thought they were so funny.
It's almost nicer then the cube that I just moved out of. This one at least has a door. :o)
I have my suspicions on the type of employee that created this. There is a port for a CAC card.
Nice multi-line phone complete with a headset.
Isn't that comment about a bad attitude funny?
Cool fridge.

Contrasting Colors
My garden is taking a beating lately from all the heat. There is not much to photograph right now, but I found this little guy. I thought he was cute and that the lime green looked really great against all that purple. I hope he wasn't thinking that he is camouflaged. :o)

Sky Watch
Here is my entry for Sky Watch. It was taken from my office window early in the morning. Just the start of another hot, sweltering August day. It is so still outside, the flag is not even fluttering.
These are the days that I don't mind being at work and can sit in my nice, air conditioned office. :o) Wednesday, August 6, 2008
Back To School
I can't believe that my youngest is now entering 9th grade. Doesn't he look so happy about the event?

Black-eyed Susans
I have been studying some of the neighborhoods around me to see what is blooming right now. Occasionally I have been finding some that still have lots of color. I think that I need to plant some Black-eyed Susans. They seem to be able to take the extreme heat and dryness that we are having and still flourish.

Sent by Pony Express
I keep checking my mailbox, but no show photos yet. Jeri already received hers several days ago. Hopefully mine arrive today. :o)
