Gracious Hospitalitea Blogathon

The Gracious Hospitalitea topic this week was to discuss our afternoon tea and what we wear. My typical tea time is not really glamorous, but it is consistant and happens every afternoon in my office. Actually tea time starts at around 7:30 am and continues all day. My typical attire is work clothes and I usually use this not-so-dainty mug.
If I had my choice of circumstances, my preferred place is in comfy sweats, in my favorite recliner and shared with a favorite fur-kid on my lap. :-)

I love the mug! It looks comfortable to the hand and like it would keep tea hot for awhile! Having tea 'all day long' like you do sets such a cozy word-picture in my mind. And being able to enjoy tea in whatever the outfit of the day is describes it's essence perfectly!

Thanks for sharing!

What a nice post. I drink tea all day long too. I love it and it's a great anti-toxin. Your little dogs are very cute and adorable.

Hurray for you! Tea is sometimes simply about comfort, isn't it?!

Sounds like my kind of tea time! That mug looks as if it would be very pleasant to hold. What a great color!

There's nothing like being bundled up in our most comfortable loungies and having a cup of tea!

Well, now that you say that~ tea attire is anything we wear when drinking tea, isn't it? Tea is such a comforting beverage and comfortable clothes are just the thing. I find alot of ladies are "scared" of tea parties because they think they have to dress up and try to remember all their manners so they just aren't interested. You've got the right idea though ~ be comfortable!

Thanks for an interesting and thought provoking post. Have a wonderful week!

That's normally where I have my tea...in the comfort of my own home :). I bet that's one of your favorite mugs!

I love the post..because I really believe tea is more about the tradition and the ceremony of it rather than the place of it. Taking time to treat yourself is perfect.

Looking at your fur-kids, I can understand why cuddling and tea are so appealing, they are adorable! I am a comfy casual tea girl myself. All day tea sounds heavenly!

THat's right where I drink my tea, in front of the computer!!! I live for that 3 PM indulgence (oh I drink tea all day but 3 PM a snack accompanies it and its catch up on blog time)

I loved your comment about sharing your teatime with a furry kid. I share my tea time with my 2 dogs. It starts at 7:30 am here also--in front of my computer (after 2 cups of coffee...) I am usually in my robe!

I love your mug, both the color and the elegantly simple shape. I also loved reading down a little and seeing your corgis, so precious!
