Perennials

This is the time of year that I run out of material to photograph. It’s hot and dry. All of my flowers have faded out. Right now, there pretty much is nothing blooming in my yard except a few boring flower pots. Oh, and a yellow lantana that for some mysterious reason has rebloomed for about 3 or 4 years now. I thought they were supposed to be annuals.

I have a question. What perennials bloom well for you right now? I would like to make a few new additions to my garden.

Are you for hire? I'd love to have a yard and garden and flower pots that look like yours!!! *jealous* :) And Rush.... always takin' time to sniff the flowers :) Silly boy!

Geraniums seem to do well in my yard (especially if you dead-head them), and the roses (dead-head also). The Chase puppy had a thing for rose bushes so mine have been well-pruned :>)

My clematis vines are blooming again. They bloomed in May and are blooming again. This is the second year I've had them. But next year we will be putting in a real flower bed, so I'll look to your blog for good ideas. BTW your flowers look great.

I have 2 monster lantanas too. I had planted lantana in the same place every year, and one year apparently I got the perennial instead of the annual. They are HUGE and the only thing blooming now. I do have one bed that is just perennials and it is very sad right now.
