2012 Wrap Up

It has been a good year for Regent Cardigans.  Rush completed his Bronze Grand Championship and won some nice Best of Breeds and Group Placements during the process.

Not to be out done by their father, his daughters have been catching their share of attention.

Alley easily completed her Grand Championship. Her next adventure will be into the performance ring.

Caity completed her Championship the same weekend as Alley!  She has a lovely black husband lined up for her in 2013.

Some of  Rush's other kids have been busy too.

Sara has 11 points and one major in limited showing.

Ollie is major pointed.

Bridget has five points and one major.

Owen was BOB/WD his first weekend out for his first major.

Honey Badger won back to back W/D his first weekend out and has four points.

Brady has five points and one major.

Congratulations to all of the Rush kids on their many successes. We are very proud of them. Thank you to all the owners for loving them and doing such a wonderful job of training and handling them in the show ring. We are looking forward to an exciting year in 2013!!!

Looking Ahead....

Lately, I have been playing on Facebook too much and neglecting my blog.  I thought I would post an update on two nice litters that Rush recently had.  Here are a few photos of his lovely ladies.

Rush was bred to Cohnwee Blue My Mind.
On Nov. 25, she had five beautiful babies
(two boys and three girls).

Rush was also bred to CH Twinroc Buckaroo Bramble PT.
On Oct. 22, she had six beautiful babies
(three boys and three girls).

I am very excited about both of these litters and am looking forward to watching these pretty babies grow. :)

Apple Blossom Cluster

I decided to combine a family visit with a dog show and headed to Michigan over the weekend.  I had a great time with the dogs. Rush was BOB three times, Alley won three GCH majors and Caity picked up both of her majors.

My in-laws had never been to a dog show before, so they got a large dose of it. When all was said and done, one of their favorite dogs from the weekend was this pink poodle! What you can't see in the photo is that on the other side of the dog, there was a large pink heart on it's thigh. LOL

An Unexpected Surprise

Today, I came home to find this medallion in my mailbox. It is for Rush completing his Bronze GCH. I did not know the AKC sent out an award for that. What a nice surprise. :)

Mississippi

I just returned home from the Mississippi shows. Wow, we had a great time! On Saturday, Rush took a Herding Group 2 under Judge Don Rogers. Then on Sunday, I am pleased to say that Rush went BOB to finish his Bronze Grand Championship.

Here is my crew hanging out at the show waiting for our ring time. Notice how they won't look at me? Can you say "Squirrel?!?" LOL

The Eukanuba

Whew, it has been a busy month! We are back from the Eukanuba and done with the holidays. Janet and I had a great time in Orlando. We shopped, ate at some great restaurants and dropped a bunch of money in the area. :)

Kathy brought these photos to my attention. (Thank you, Kathy!) Olivia of Olivia Frost Photography was sitting ringside on Sunday and took a few photos of Rush. I thought they were cute and wanted to share.

Rush is such a happy-go-lucky dog and loves to make me laugh. His timing is impeccable and always manages to do it at the exact moment the judge looks at us. LOL
Though we did not win an award, we had a great time. I wanted to get a photo of my handsome boy. I had different choices on what I could put on the sign since Rush qualified several different ways. After some thought, I decided this one was my favorite achievement.

New Champ!!

It has been several months since I have posted. During that time, I have been busy showing my dogs. As a result, I am pleased to announce that Alley (Rush x Minute) picked up her third major today in Priceville, Ala. and finished her Championship under Judge Stephanie Hedgepath!! Pending AKC approval, she is now CH Bridgelady Regent All That Jazz.

Fingers crossed that her CH photo comes out nice. :)

I'm Black & Blue Again

My dogs have never been the most cooperative when it comes to taking pictures, and my first attempt at getting a photo of the three together was no different. But I must admit that it is nice to see a little bit of blue amongst all the black again.

Oh, I forgot to mention. The pup in the middle is my new girl. Her name is Caity. She is a Rush x Ella puppy. :)

HOTC Obedience Trials

The HOTC Obedience Trials were good to us this weekend. Rush finished his RN title with 2 first place wins and brought home some real cool stuff as prizes. I especially like the grooming bag he won.

There's A New Kid On The Block

Alley has decided to challenge Rush for the position of Head Gardener.
She loves going out to the garden and checking on my 'mater plants.
Rush needs to step up to the plate or he just may lose his coveted
title.

My Head Gardener

Spring has arrived in my area and my garden is in full bloom. Rush knows that the iris are my favorite flower. Here he is faithfully watching over my iris and keeping the pesky squirrels away.

It's a tough job, but someone has to do it!

Good Test Results

Yay! I just received the color test back on Rush and am happy to find out that he does not carry the pink gene. :-)
